The moment you leave Glen Coe, you will notice the change in the landscape creating an all together mystical experience as you journey toward Eilean Donan Castle.  This tour brings you the Highlights of Scotland,  visiting Eilean Donan Castle, Stirling Castle,The Wallace Monument and Edinburgh – visiting Edinburgh Castle and much more.

After a hearty Scottish Breakfast, we will depart for the Isle of Skye.  We take the Highland roads via Dalmally and then on to Glen Coe where we will get to know a little more about the history surrounding the Highlands at the Glen Coe Visitor Centre.  Travelling on to Eilean Donan Castle, (probably one of Scotland’s most photographed castles), we then continue on to the Kyles of Lochalsh for our first night in the Highlands at a Country Hotel.

Day 3

Today  we will visit the Isle of Skye for the first time, including Portree, the capital of the Island.  Then follows a visit to the Talisker Whiskey Distillery (the only Distillery on Skye) for a Connoisseurs Tour (includes tasting and a little keepsake). ln the afternoon, visit Armadale Castle and Gardens, the Cuillin Mountains and Dunvegan Castle. Then return to the Highland Hotel for a second evening in the Misty Isle.

Today  we head for Fort Augustus, at the foot of Loch Ness.  Here you will be able to witness the beauty of Loch Ness, and the engineering that joins the loch to the sea, at the Caledonian Canal. From here we will head to Edradour Distillery, which is claimed to be the smallest distillery in Scotland, and produces some of the finest single malt whiskey.  We continue on to Pitlochry which wins the “Town in Bloom” each year before heading to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

Following breakfast,  we make our way to Stirling, where we visit the Wallace monument, which commemorates

Scotland’s greatest national hero, Sir William Wallace, who defeated the English at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in the year 1297.  Then we visit Stirling Castle, set high atop an ancient rock, with amazing history. We can arrange lunch or high tea in the Stirling Castle Vaults –  which will be an occasion to remember.  We also aim to visit the Bannockburn Heritage Centre today, time permitting.  After a  day steeped in history, we will head to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

This morning we have an early start to Edinburgh Castle, for our pre opening visit. We will be escorted around,  prior to the opening hours, to give a personal experience of the castle, followed by a lovely Scottish breakfast.  After lunch, we  visit Rosslyn Chapel, and if time permits you can do some shopping along the Royal mile, on returning to Edinburgh.  We then travel to the hotel for our evening meal.
