Day 1

 

Your tour begins when your Tour Driver meets you at your chosen Airport or collection destination.  We then travel through Argyll visiting Loch Lomond, Loch Fyne, the Rest and Be Thankful and on into the Gateway to the Highlands Town of Dunoon where we will be staying on our first eveing in Scotland.

 

 

Day 2

 

After Breakfast, we travel to Inverary where we can visit the Castle home of the Duke and Dutchess of Argyll (2 hour visit).  From here we visit the Seaside town of Oban returning via the ancient Standing Stones of Kilmartin Glen on our way back to our Hotel for our evening meal.

 

Day 3

 

After a hearty breakfast, we will commence our journey through the Highlands en route to the Isle of Skye.  Today we will be passing Crainlarach, Glencoe where we can stop to see the Visitor Centre before heading through Spean Bridge, Fort Augustus at the foot of Loch Ness and on to Eilean Donan Castle in the Kyles of Lochalsh.  Before heading to our Hotel where we will be staying this evening.

 

Day 4

 

Awake to a Scottish Breakfast before heading off to tour the Isle of Skye.  We will visit Armadale Castle and Gardens, Broadford, Portree, Uig, Dunvegan Castle and view the splendid Cuillins along the route today.  We then head back to our Hotel in time for Dinner.

 

Day 5

 

Today we bid farewell to Skye after breakfast and head South to Pitlochry which wins the "Town in Bloom" every year.  We shall also visit the smallest distillery in Scotland where the finest single malt in Scotland is claimed to be produced.  We then head on to Stirling (Braveheart Country) for the evening just in time for Dinner.

 

Day 6

 

After breakfast, we visit the historical Stirling Castle - if you like today we can also arrange lunch for you in the Great Vaults at Stirling Castle.   After which we visit the Wallace Monument which commemorates Scotland's greatest national  hero, Sir William Wallace who defeated the English at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in the year 1297.  After this exciting day, we will head back to our Hotel for our evening meal.

 

Day 7

 

Today after breakfast, we make our way to the Bannockburn Heritage Centre to learn more about Scottish History before returning to the Hotel for Lunch.  After Lunch, we make our way to Edinburgh on the train to enjoy the festival atmosphere prior to our night of entertainment at the Edinburgh Tattoo.

 

Day 8

 

Our final day.  We visit Rosalyn Chaple today before heading in to Edinburgh to walk the Royal Mile and visit the Princess Street Gardens.  We can also visit the Spirit of the Tattoo Visitor Centre before heading back to our Hotel for our final nights stay.

 

Day 9

 

Today you return home with fond memories of and exciting and historic Scotland.
